After the radiation in Fukushima
After the tsunami and radiation on 31th January 2011, residents who lived in Fukashima were put under quarantine by the government. The news photo shows the moment when one of the victim’s mother and her dog came to visit her in order to make sure that she was fine.
It was not an image which can shake the whole world or bring out any important message. However, on the one hand, it represents the everlasting love between families and animals. Even though the girl may got infected, she could still feel the care from her mum. She may isolated physically, but the love between family did not.
On the other hand, it shows us the helpless of the residents. She wanted to communicate with others, she wanted to huge her parents, but it was impossible because people around the world assumed Fukashima was equal to a dangerous place, where was untouchable. We all knew they were in danger, we are knew they were seeking for help, but we dared not to give a hand to them, because we would always put ourselves first. As a result, those victims were ignored by the others and did not get enough materials that they needed to walk through the pain. Although it did not mean anything to us at present, but when tragedy happens on us one day and we receive the same react from the public, what would it be?
The image that I pick isn't a complicate photo, but it reminds us a lot.
